Title: When Schools Become Dead Zones of the Imagination: a Critical Pedagogy Manifesto
Abstract: We propose the Italian translation of the article by Henry A. Giroux WhenSchools Become Dead Zones of the Imagination: A Critical Pedagogy Manifesto,published in the online magazine Truthout on 08.13.2013. The articleshows the essential features of thought and pedagogical theory of Girouxand his appeal on behalf of a school that, far from being reduced to the administration of the test and the application of strict evaluation schemes, discoveranew the value of 'social commitment, creativity and imagination.
