Title: Antonio Gramsci as a forerunner of critical-radical pedagogy

Abstract: This contribution analyses Antonio Gramsci's educational thinking underthe light of the latest concerns in the fields of critical and radical pedagogy.Through which means is it possible to integrate critical pedagogy and radicalpedagogy? What are the philosophical roots that link together these twobranches of educational studies? By answering these questions, I will showthat Gramsci's philosophy of praxis constitutes a precursor of the more recentlydeveloped synergy between said research lines. Gramsci envisioned and explored educational concepts in a novel way. This paper contains an analysis of the following Gramscian topics: his critical perspective on subjectivity, the need to consider the anthropologic aspect of educational events, the idea of lifelong learning, and the identification of new social environments in which ongoing learning takes place.

Title: Anticipazioni di pedagogia critico-radicale nel pensiero di Antonio Gramsci

Abstract: Il contributo analizza il pensiero educativo di Gramsci alla luce delle sollecitazioniprovenienti dalla pedagogia critico-radicale di ultima generazione.Quali sono le rotte di integrazione della pedagogia critica e di quella radicale? Quali le radici filosofiche che connettono i due filoni educativi?Proprio nella sinergia tra le due prospettive si rivestono di nuova luce le anticipazioni reperibili nella filosofia della praxis di Antonio Gramsci, pienamenteorientate in senso critico-radicale: visione critica del soggetto, referente antropologico del fatto educativo, Lifelong Learning, luoghi della formazione permanente.
