Title: Interdisciplinary Physical Education Teaching: a Literature Review
Abstract: In interdisciplinary teaching, two or more subjects areas are integrated with the goals of improving the learning in each subject area and creating meaningful relationships in a broader area of knowledge. The aims of this paper are to describe the state of the art of the literature on interdisciplinaryteaching, to determine which methodological features are more effective in reaching purposeful findings in learning and personal development of participants, and to interpret the future direction of studies and research.Content analysis showed that the selected articles can be gathered into three categories: studies on interdisciplinary teaching models, articles on interdisciplinary units or ideas for integrated curriculum, and research reports on the effects of interdisciplinary programs, the voices of pre-service or in-service teachers and students. The theoretical models and empirical evidencesin learning and teaching processes converge on a interdisciplinary teaching based on a collaborative process of co-construction of the educational activities.

Title: La didattica interdisciplinare in educazione fisica: una rassegna della letteratura
Abstract: L'interdisciplinarità è un metodo di insegnamento in cui due o più aree disciplinari vengono integrate per migliorare l'apprendimento nelle discipline coinvolte e creare relazioni significative all'interno di aree più vaste della conoscenza. L'articolo si prefigge gli obiettivi di descrivere lo stato dell'arte della letteratura scientifica internazionale sul tema dell'interdisciplinarità, di determinare quali componenti metodologiche siano maggiormente efficaci nel conseguimento di risultati significativi nell'apprendimento e nello sviluppo globale dei partecipanti e di interpretare la direzione degli studi e delle ricerche empiriche in ambito scolastico.L'analisi dei contenuti ha mostrato che gli articoli selezionati si raggruppano in tre categorie principali: gli studi sui differenti modelli di interdisciplinarità, gli articoli che descrivono unità didattiche interdisciplinari o curricoli integrati realizzati in classe dai docenti e i report di ricerca sugli effetti di programmi interdisciplinari o sulla percezione di docenti, in servizio e in formazione,e di studenti. I modelli teorici, sostenuti dalle evidenze empiriche nell'apprendimento e nei processi di insegnamento, convergono nella definizione di una didattica interdisciplinare basata su un processo collaborativo di co-costruzione delle attività educative.
