Title: The sustainable didactics of physical activities
Abstract: The topic of the sustainability of the physical education and sport didacticsis largely underrepresented in the scientific literature. Following the overalldescription of the sustainability paradigm, the article outlines, through interdisciplinar references and sketching four periods since 1870, a historiographyattempt of the relationships among concepts of the body, physical activities, pedagogical, and scientific thoughts. The fifth period, starting from2000, points out the foundations of the sustainable didactics as science aimingto safeguard the future practises. In this period, the theoretical referencesare described along with the enlargement of the sport and physicalactivities, reciprocally connected with contemporary definitions of thebody; conclusively, some examples deal with the correlation between theoreticaland didactical matters.
