Title: Teacher self-assessment. A path for professional growth
Abstract: The study analyzes which strategies and conditions need to trigger an selfassessment on the teacher's profession. The main theoretical references revolvearound three core category: the theories of self-assessment, the functionof self-evaluating processes for and with teachers, the teachers's professionaldevelopment. The ability to self-assess their didactic performanceseems to influence and modify behavior, perception of self and thinkingabout teaching practices, and also to support professional growth.

Abstract: L'articolo analizza quali strategie e condizioni necessitino per attivare unprocesso auto-valutativo sulla professione di insegnante. I riferimenti teoriciprincipali del contributo ruotano attorno a tre nuclei fondanti: le teoriedi riferimento sull'auto-valutazione, la funzione dei processi auto-valutativiper e con gli insegnanti, lo sviluppo professionale del docente. La capacitàdi autovalutazione della propria performance didattica sembra influenzaree modificare comportamenti agiti, la percezione di sé e il pensiero sullepratiche, ma anche sostenere prospettive per la crescita professionale.
