Title: The Impact of school and of the social context on the education of secondary school teachers

Abstract: In France we passed of 5 % of holders of high school graduates by age group in the fifties, in 79 % today. These figures illustrate the strength of the transformation that underwent the French secondary sector in fifty years. In this context, the roles of the actors are less clearly defined and pre-given and the knowledges are less recognized to justify the authority and legitimacy of the teacher in charge of passing on them. It is some reasons which were originally, at the end of 1980s, of the reflection on teachers' job and on transformation of training. Having approached the transformations of the training of the teachers in France, we try to understand what are today expectations towards the future devices of training. Then we shall analyze the ways to make teachers professionals of the education in this nex social and institutional context.

Title: Les répercussions du contexte scolaire et social sur la formation des enseignants du secondaire

Abstract: En France on est passé de 5 % de bacheliers par classe d'âge dans les années cinquante, à 79% aujourd'hui. Ces chiffres illustrent à eux seuls la force de la transformation qu'à subi en l'espace de deux générations le secondaire français. Dans ce contexte, les rôles des acteurs sont moins clairement définis et pré-accordés et les savoirs ne possèdent plus la force d'évidence qui conférait autorité et légitimité à l'enseignant chargé de les transmettre. Ce sont là quelques raisons qui ont été à l'origine, à la fin des années 1980, de la réflexion sur le métier d'enseignants et sur la transformation de la formation. Après avoir abordé les transformations de la formation des enseignants en France, nous essayons de comprendre quelles sont les attentes à l'égard de cette formation et leurs transpositions dans des dispositifs de formation. Puis nous analyserons les répercussions de ce contexte social et institutionnel sur les enseignants en formation et sur les moyen de faire des enseignant des professionnels de l'éducation.
