Title: Effects of epistemic virtues and of individual character on the education of talents
Abstract: Given talent is fostered by democracy-driven education that focuses on citizenship, a new conception of educational success emerges. An opportunity is thus given to reason about epistemic virtues: though intellectual, they are also related to successful citizenship and, as such, affect the development of individual talents. All capacitating aspects of epistemic virtues shall be investigated, especially with the purpose of making it truly feasible to foster talents from within the frame of educational systems. On top of this, some cultural perspectives are considered, which could play a generative role in orienting educators and teachers towards a humanist view of talents (hence, Humanism of talent).

Abstract: Una nuova concezione di successo formativo, collegata con l'educazionedemocratica dei talenti orientata alla cittadinanza, offre l'occasione per ragionare sulle virtù epistemiche – intellettuali e civiche al contempo – che maggiormente incidono sulla formazione dei talenti. Virtù epistemiche delle quali vanno approfonditi i processi educativi capacitanti, al fine di rendere realmente realizzabile l'alimentazione dei talenti all'interno dei sistemi educativi. Vi sono anche antiche posizioni culturali da recuperare e valorizzare in chiave generativa per orientare educatori e formatori all'umanesimo dei talenti.

Abstract: Una nueva concepción del éxito formativo, vinculada con la educación democrática de los talentos orientada a la ciudadanía, ofrece la oportunidad para reflexionar sobre las virtudes epistémicas –intelectuales y cívicas al mismo tiempo– que más influyen en la formación de los talentos. Son necesarios estudios más profundos sobre los procesos educativos que capacitan estas virtudes epistémicas, con el fin de hacer realmente posible el desarrollo de los talentos dentro de los sistemas educativos. También existen antiguas posturas culturales que deben ser recuperadas y valoradas en una clave generativa para orientar a educadores y formadores hacia el humanismo de los talentos.

Abstract: Uma nova concepção de sucesso formativo, ligada à educação democrática dos talentos voltada para a cidadania, oferece a oportunidade para refletir sobre as virtudes epistêmicas – intelectuais e cívicas ao mesmo tempo – que mais impactam na formação dos talentos. É necessário aprofundar os processos educativos que capacitam essas virtudes epistêmicas, a fim de tornar realmente possível o desenvolvimento dos talentos dentro dos sistemas educativos. Existem também posições culturais antigas que devem ser recuperadas e valorizadas em uma chave gerativa para orientar educadores e formadores para o humanismo dos talentos.
