Title: Improve the quality of life of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder through workplace experience: an investigation in Lombardy

Abstract: Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder face significant challenges enteringthe workforce; yet research in this area is limited and the issues arepoorly understood. This research investigates the work experience of 20 individualsfrom job search to confirmation within the organization. Throughinterviews with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, family members,company tutors and supported placement counselors, this study highlightedthe benefits to the quality of life of the subjects and the strategiesthat can accomplish a positive experience.

Title: Migliorare la Qualità della Vita delle persone con Disturbo dello Spettro Autistico attraverso l'esperienza lavorativa: un'indagine nel territorio Lombardo

Abstract: I soggetti con Disturbo dello Spettro Autistico incontrano numerose difficoltàad ottenere e mantenere un'occupazione, ma la ricerca in questa areaè limitata e le motivazioni sono poco indagate.Questa ricerca analizza l'esperienza lavorativa di 20 individui dalla ricercadel lavoro alla conferma all'interno dell'organizzazione. Attraverso intervistecon i soggetti con autismo, i familiari, i tutor aziendali e i referenti delcollocamento mirato, questo studio ha messo in evidenza i benefici per laqualità di vita dei soggetti e le strategie che possono favorire un'esperienzapositiva.
