Title: The origins of Georges Hébert's Natural Method of Physical and Moral Education
Abstract: This study aims to resume the founding characteristics of Georges Hébert's Natural Method of Physical and Moral Education, observing the author at a historical and cultural level and the relationships with the various authors of the time, studying the works that characterized him and mainly analyzing his Experimental method. He devised a method that was first applied in a military environment at the "École du Bataillon de Lorient" and later in a sports environment at the "Collège d'athlètes de Reims". The Method was accredited thanks to the intense activity of literary production, in particular he devoted himself to his most important work: L'Éducation physique, virile et morale par la méthode naturelle. Today we reread Georges Hébert, since he was one of the first scholars to classify human movement, defining the 10 families of "natural exercises". The reinterpretation that emerges from it finds elements that put the body and movement in the natural environment back at the center.

Title: Le origini del Metodo Naturale di Educazione Fisica e Morale di Georges Hébert
Abstract: Questo studio vuole riprendere i caratteri fondativi del Metodo Naturale di Educazione Fisica e Morale di Georges Hébert, osservando l'autore a livello storico culturale ed i rapporti con i vari autori dell'epoca, studiando le opere che lo hanno caratterizzato e soprattutto analizzando il suo Metodo sperimentale. Egli ideò un Metodo che venne applicato dapprima in ambiente militare all'"École du Bataillon de Lorient ed in seguito in ambiente sportivo al "Collège d'athlètes de Reims". Il Metodo fu accreditato grazie all'intensa attività di produzione letteraria, in particolar modo si dedicò alla sua opera più importante: L'Éducation physique, virile et morale par la méthode naturelle. Oggi rileggiamo Georges Hébert, poiché fu uno dei primi studiosi a classificare il movimento umano, definendo le 10 famiglie di "esercizi naturali". La rilettura che ne emerge trova elementi attuali che rimettono al centro il corpo ed il movimento in ambiente naturale.

Abstract: Cette étude vise à reprendre les caractéristiques fondatrices de la méthode naturelle de l'éducation physique et morale de Georges Hébert, en observant l'auteur au niveau historique et culturel et aux relations avec les divers auteurs de l'époque, en étudiant les œuvres qui l'ont caractérisé et analysant principalement sa méthode expérimentale.Il a conçu une méthode qui a été appliquée pour la première fois dans un environnement militaire de "l'École du Bataillon de Lorient" et plus tard dans un environnement sportif de "Collège d'Athlètes de Reims".La méthode a été accréditée grâce à l'activité intense de la production littéraire, en particulier il s'est consacré à son travail le plus important: L'éducation physique, virile et moral par la méthode naturelle.Aujourd'hui, nous relions Georges Hébert, car il a été l'un des premiers chercheurs à classer le mouvement humain, définissant les 10 familles des "exercices naturels".La réinterprétation qui en émerge trouve des éléments qui remettent le corps et le mouvement dans l'environnement naturel au centre.
