Title: Transferable skills and Higher Education: the 'Research in educational work' course
Abstract: The paper focuses on so-called "transversal skills" university training. The reflection on the topic confirmed the importance to take care of and promote processes that accompany students towards the progressive consolidation of non-cognitive skills along the entire training path. Therefore, transversal skills training is still an open yard. The contribution assumes the point of view of the university teacher urged to experiment methods of teaching and evaluation which can support such learning in a methodological area course. The use of a specific evaluation device confirmed what has already been recognized in the literature: the active teaching methods promote the acquisition of transversal skills. Skills relating to teamwork and problem solving were particularly empowered after the course; using Life Skills Ability Scale also allowed students to balance the acquired skills while soliciting self-evaluation competence.

Title: Formando habilidades transversais no ensino superior: a experiência do curso de 'pesquisa em trabalho educacional'
