Title: The Critical Incident Technique (CIT): An Evolving Qualitative Technique
Abstract: The paper examines the Critical Incident Technique (CIT), one of the most accredited qualitative techniques in recent years, which is described starting from the development of a conceptual framework that helps to outline and understand the nature of Critical Incidents (ICs) and their evolution. ICs, as a system whose different components are so interrelated and interdependent, help to understand the dynamic nature of phenomena and to consider the different multiple relationships and simultaneous consequences throughout the critical incident system, demonstrating that ICs are not linear, as the components of a system that interacts in a non-random way. It is a technique in which the clarity of research questions and their adequate focus are able to support a strong conceptual framework, which helps to improve the reliability of the method itself and minimize the prejudices of the researcher and which provides the opportunity to lower the attributes of rigor and quality within a precise way of doing qualitative research. The CIT is also examined from the point of view of the nature of the technique and the ability of the researcher to influence the logic of the decision-making process as the study proceeds, a fundamental characteristic that characterizes the rigor of conduct.

Abstract: Il contributo esamina la Critical Incident Technique (CIT), tecnica qualitativa tra i metodi più accreditati negli ultimi anni, che viene descritta a partire dallo sviluppo di un quadro concettuale che aiuta a delineare e a comprendere le natura degli Incidenti Critici (IC) e la loro evoluzione. Gli IC, come sistema in cui diversi componenti sono interrelati e interdipendenti, aiutano a comprendere la natura dinamica dei fenomeni educativi e a considerare le diverse relazioni multiple e conseguenze simultanee in tutto il sistema dell'incidente critico, a dimostrazione che gli IC non sono lineari, in quanto i componenti di un sistema interagiscono in modo non casuale. Si tratta di una tecnica in cui la chiarezza delle domande di ricerca e la loro adeguata focalizzazione sono in grado di supportare un robusto quadro concettuale, che contribuisce a migliorare l'affidabilità del metodo stesso e a ridurre al minimo i pregiudizi del ricercatore, fornendo l'occasione per calare gli attributi di rigore e qualità all'interno di un preciso modo di fare ricerca qualitativa. La CIT viene anche esaminata dal punto di vista della natura della tecnica e della capacità del ricercatore di incidere sulla logica del processo decisionale man mano che lo studio procede, caratteristica fondamentale questa che ne connota il rigore di conduzione.

Abstract: La contribution examine la technique d'incident critique (CIT), une technique qualitative parmi les méthodes les plus accréditées ces dernières années, qui est décrite à partir du développement d'un cadre conceptuel qui aide à décrire et à comprendre la nature des accidents critiques (IC) et leur évolution.Les CI, en tant que système dans lequel différents composants sont interdépendants et interdépendants, aident à comprendre la nature dynamique des phénomènes éducatifs et à considérer les différentes relations multiples et les conséquences simultanées tout au long du système de l'accident critique, démontrant que les CI ne sont pas linéaires, car les composants d'un système interagissent de manière non aléatoire.Il s'agit d'une technique dans laquelle la clarté des applications de recherche et leur objectif adéquate sont capables de soutenir un cadre conceptuel robuste, ce qui contribue à améliorer la fiabilité de la méthode elle-même et à minimiser les préjugés du chercheur, offrant la possibilité de supprimer la pénalité et les attributs de qualité dans le cadre d'un moyen précis de la recherche qualitative.Le CIT est également examiné du point de vue de la nature de la technique et de la capacité du chercheur à affecter la logique du processus de prise de décision au fur et à mesure que l'étude se déroule, il s'agit d'une caractéristique fondamentale qui évoque sa pénalité de conduction. Abstract: La contribución examina la Técnica del Incidente Crítico (CIT), técnica cualitativa entre los métodos más acreditados en los últimos años, que se describe a partir del desarrollo de un marco conceptual que ayuda a delinear y comprender la naturaleza de los Incidentes Críticos (IC) y su evolución. Los IC, como sistema en el que varios componentes están interrelacionados e interdependientes, ayudan a comprender la naturaleza dinámica de los fenómenos educativos y a considerar las diferentes relaciones múltiples y consecuencias simultáneas en todo el sistema del incidente crítico, demostrando que los IC no son lineales, ya que los componentes de un sistema interactúan de manera no aleatoria. Se trata de una técnica en la que la claridad de las preguntas de investigación y su adecuado enfoque pueden respaldar un sólido marco conceptual, que contribuye a mejorar la fiabilidad del propio método y a minimizar los prejuicios del investigador, proporcionando la oportunidad de aplicar los atributos de rigor y calidad dentro de una forma precisa de investigación cualitativa. La CIT también se examina desde el punto de vista de la naturaleza de la técnica y la capacidad del investigador para influir en la lógica del proceso de toma de decisiones a medida que avanza el estudio, característica fundamental que denota su rigor en la conducción.
